“The Big City” is a 10×20” Acrylic on Canvas piece that took approximately 2 months to complete. The painting depicts Westbrook Fire cruising down Main Street and Bridge Street, passing through the iconic buildings that can be seen around the city. Buildings like the Dana Warp Mill and the S.D. Warren Paper Mill stand as structural windows into the industrial revolution that shaped the City of Westbrook and its surrounding areas. More historic features include the Walker Memorial Library, the former High School, St Hyacinth Church, Riverbank Park, Warren Block, The Elms, and even Vallee Square!
