"Sunset at Back Cove"

Sunset at Back Cove is a contemporary realism piece that took approximately 9 months to complete. What started as a whimsical attempt to blend colors, suddenly became a detailed depiction of Portland’s historic and modern architecture. Through expressive and vibrant colors, Sarette conveys a sky; alive with warm tones of pink, orange, and yellow, contrasted by cool blues and purples that suggest the day’s close. This piece highlights the defining buildings of Portland’s skyline, such as the Time and Temperature Building, Portland City Hall, the former Fidelity Trust Building, and even Miss Portland Diner.
