"Capture"

“Capture” presents a man standing in stillness, poised against an expansive, near-empty background. Sarette’s use of texture and tone conveys both realism and artistic liberty, with the subject’s gaze suggesting introspection and isolation.

This piece was the first large scale drawing Sarette completed while taking a high school drawing class. The piece won a “Silver Key” award at a statewide high school art show and went on to win a first place ribbon at an art competition later that year.
